Professor Thomas Dilorenzo has another excellent book out: Organized Crime: The Unvarnished Truth About Government. It contains a series of short essays demonstrating the inherent criminality of the State in lucid example after example. Central to the book’s theme is the introduction which gives the reader an overview in understanding political economy from the Austrian School of economic thought.
Limited government advocates will likely find this book radical; anarcho-capitalists on the other hand probably will already be persuaded of many of the arguments but will still find gems of insight in Organized Crime nonetheless.
The outstanding sections in my view were Workers and Unions and Truth and Lies about Markets. Much socialist nonsense about unions and markets is debunked in a concise manner.
