After watching this brief clip of Friedrich Hayek appear on William F. Buckley’s “Firing Line,” I recollected the various quotes by Thomas Sowell that argued against the so-called intellectuals in our society that have caused much of our problems.
If you’ve never read anything by Sowell, I highly recommend checking out this page of his quotes.
Anyway, with that being said, here is a video of Hayek explaining why intellects tend to promote the ideas of socialism instead of freedom, free markets and private enterprise. This video is brought to you by our good friends at CommonSenseCapitalism.com.
Enjoy the video!

In my opinion it is a good point of view. I often meet people who rather say what they suppose others want to hear. Good and well written! I will come back to your site for sure!

Everyone should read Hayek’s book: The Road to Serfdom. It is brilliant.
