At the time of this writing, Black Friday is just getting started in Canada and the United States, but over in Great Britain, it’s about wrapping up. Unfortunately, not before consumers got injured, trampled one another and entered into battle with each another. It was a scene out of those post-apocalyptic worlds where individuals would fight for limited resources and supplies to feed their families.
Over in the United Kingdom, what was once immune from the madness known as Black Friday, police were called to several Tesco stores across the country where shoppers took part in a stampede to save a few dollars (or pounds) on shoddy televisions and other products. The photos depict shoppers as starving Africans vying for bags of rice from United Nations workers.
How droll…
The video below is just one instance of consumers’ behavior, which consisted of ignoring others, applying one’s entire body weight to your fellow man and not giving a damn about their health and safety.
Meanwhile, the videos below show just how intense the Black Friday shopping experience can get. It’s sadly similar to the scuffles that break out on the YouTube comment sections with strangers shouting profanities and wishing death upon others.
What may be the picture of the year depicts a woman holding onto dear life for a television. How can she watch the latest episode of “Downtown Abbey” without this likely poorly made LED HD telly? Impossible!
This woman just won #BlackFriday in the UK http://t.co/ID5rkY3Zhm @dkaszor @noahlove @HuffPostUK pic.twitter.com/Bwyj26Y1Eq

As it has been repeatedly reported, Black Friday doesn’t offer discounts, savings and deals as many believe. In fact, retailers employ a number of tricks to purport the illusion, such as offering discounts on unknown brands – did you know Polaroid, the maker of the antiquated polaroid camera, makes televisions? Ostensibly, the best times to find deals around this time of the year would be on Thanksgiving and Cyber Monday.
Or, instead of buying stuff, you can save some dough, invest in precious metals and relax in the comfort of your own home…
