If you walk down any main city street, you will usually notice at least one young person sporting a Che Guevara T-shirt. Whether or not they really know this dictator was isn’t exactly clear. Many people, including celebrities, wear Guevara shirts in addition to Stalin, Mao and Marx (for whatever reason). But do they really know what these brutal dictators did during their time in power? Probably not.
This video from John Stossel takes a brief look at the history of Che “The Executioner” Guevara and attempts to answer the question: why are people wearing these kinds of T-shirts and other apparel?
Eugene Patrick Devany says
Our 20-year wealth trends show that the U.S. economic system has destroyed the working class (left with 1% of family wealth) and is not devastating the middle class (down to 24% of wealth and trending toward the global average of 12%). Young people need a new T-Shirt of a hero for the 90%. Pope Frances just doesn’t seem cool enough.
