Where is the outrage that the male labor force participation rate is at an all-time low dating back to the 1950s? Will MSNBC, President Obama and feminist activists be devastated by the fact that a shrinking number of men are participating less and less in the workforce? Probably not. Equality isn’t the issue at hand, but more like revenge and political correctness.
But this is the reality, according to the latest numbers by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (via Mark Perry at the American Enterprise Institute).

Women have entered the workplace and the additional supply of labor has lowered the pay. Fewer men are willing to work and/or have to work. The change is very much an unintended consequence of the 65-year women’s liberation movement.
