Feminists everywhere, and even those who pretend to be feminists like Hillary Clinton, are demanding gender equality in law, medicine, executive positions, politics and the list goes on. But what about jobs that come with a high level of fatal injuries? Probably not.
Mark Perry of the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) posted this very interesting chart that showed the top 10 most dangerous U.S. occupations and their respective percentage of males as of 2014. For instance, logging workers are dominated by 94.6 percent of men and have a fatal injury rate (FIR) per 100,000 workers of 109.5. Fishing workers are nearly all men and have an FIR of 80.8.
Where is the outage of feminists everywhere? Why aren’t they demanding more equality in roofing, refuse collections, truck drivers and fishing? It seems only positions of convenience they will advocate for, but not dangerous jobs that come with danger pay (SEE: 9 statistics Patricia Arquette needs to read on gender wage gap myth).
