Will the concept of hitting the concrete jungle, working 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and sitting at desks inside an office be a thing of the past? Millions of Americans are working from home and primarily online, and with websites like Elance, Upwork and Freelancer there is a platform to get these jobs.
What are some of the best online jobs around? Freelancer released a report that looked at the fastest growing online jobs in the third quarter of 2015.
Here they are:
– Video editing (18.5 percent)
– Photography (13 percent)
– 3D design (11.9 percent)
– Flyer design (10.9 percent)
– Banner design (7.3 percent)
“Freelancer.com’s quarterly Fast 50 report is a pulse check of the movers and shakers across industries, technologies, products, and companies. We can glean from the increasing demand in Windows related skills that Microsoft is still a giant player in its field, and will continue to assert its dominance,” says Matt Barrie, Chief Executive of Freelancer.com, in a statement. “What remains to be seen is how long it will be among the top players in the industry.
Surprisingly, Microsoft gigs are on the rise. Online jobs relating to Microsoft Word are up 29.3 percent, while Windows desktop jobs are up 62 percent.
