United States President Obama wants to make some changes to the nation’s unemployment insurance system before he leaves office in a year.
The suggested changes would see the program provide greater security to the unemployed and encourage seasoned workers to re-enter the workforce, even if it leads to a pay cut.
According to the president’s proposal, states would be required to offer wage insurance to workers who lose their jobs and locate new jobs at lower pay. The new insurance idea would then replace half of the lost income, up to $10,000 over a two-year timespan.
Workers who were employed by their previous company for three years and earn less than $50,000 in their new jobs would be eligible for the new benefit.
“We shouldn’t just be talking about unemployment; we should be talking about re-employment,” Obama said in his weekly radio and Internet address.
Moreover, Obama would mandate states to make unemployment insurance available to a larger number of low-income and part-time workers. Also, he would force all states to offer a minimum of 26 weeks of unemployment insurance.
The modifications to unemployment insurance would be inserted into the budget proposal he will send to Congress in February.

BHO BOZO is at it again. This new policy will allow more companies to shift from full time workers to part time workers. Pay new hires less, all paid for you by the taxpayers or more debt added to the 19 Trillion once again. BHO BOZO will do anything to get the sheeple to the polls in an election year, even if the policy has no chance of passing Congress.
