Speaking in an interview with Newsmax TV on Wednesday, former Texas Republican Congressman and three-time presidential candidate Ron Paul talked about Donald Trump, his son’s presidential campaign and polls conducted in the United States.
Paul noted that Trump will likely be the nominee, though his son may very well surprise everybody. He noted that the Kentucky GOP Senator could do very well in the caucus states, which are places he did well in during the 2012 race, though he barely received coverage over his performance.
When asked about Trump, Paul said that up to this point he’ll likely be the nominee. However, Paul was sure to say that not one vote has even been cast yet so any judgment is a bit too premature.
The former Congressman added that polls are for entertainment purposes and are usually rigged by the ones conducting it.
For whatever reason, there was a bit of controversy over his remarks so he had to issue a statement:
“As usual the media can’t get anything right. I responded to a poorly worded question , agreeing that it was ‘realistic’ at this point that Trump could win, not that he will win. In fact , I then proceeded to say not one vote has been cast and this has all been trumped up by the media and rigged polls for entertainment. Rand is going to surprise everybody because freedom is popular and when it matters voters won’t cast their lot with an authoritarian like Trump.”

The polls are not the only thing that is rigged. It does not matter if you vote for a Dummycrat or a Ripoffagain, you still get screwed. As long as we have a 2 party system in this country nothing will change. What Mark Twain said over 100 years ago is still true today. “If voting made any real difference they would not let us do it.” I have voted for both parties over the last 40 years and no politician taking any office, has made my life any better. That is my job. The sooner people realize this the better off this country will be. Less government is a good thing, more government is a very bad thing. The last 15 years proves the point. 18.906 Trillion dollars in national debt. 2000 national debt 5.629 Trillion dollars. Does anyone see a problem yet??????
