That’s right. We’re just a bunch of babies.
Vote for Clinton or You’re Going to Hell
Former United States Secretary of State Madeleine Albright told the women of New Hampshire that if they didn’t vote for Hillary Clinton that they’d be going to hell. She didn’t use those exact words but that’s exactly what the first female Secretary of State meant in her speech.
“There’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help each other!”
Just imagine if a man or a Republican said such a thing. He would be accused of embracing antiquated, fear mongering religious views.
Of course, this just shows how desperate the Clinton camp is. If you don’t vote for her then you’re going to have dinner with Lucifer himself. And yes, when we mean Lucifer, we’re referring to Clinton. Then again, Albright is the same person who said the death of Iraqi children was well worth the constant bombing.
Sweden Deepens Subzero Interest Rates
It seems Sweden is leading the world in one thing: negative interest rates.
The Riksbank, Sweden’s central bank, announced Thursday it would be going further into subzero interest rates. Central bank officials said it would lower its primary repurchase rate from minus 0.35 percent to minus 0.5 percent. The Riksbank added that it could go even further into negative territory if the economy wasn’t getting any better.
Sweden wants to achieve its inflation target rate of two percent. “The upturn in inflation is still not on a firm footing, as is illustrated by the unexpectedly weak outcomes in recent months,” the Riksbank said.
The Swedish kroner weakened against the euro, rising from 9.47 to 9.59.
Other countries have joined in on the fun: the Bank of Japan (BOJ), the European Central Bank (ECB) and the Danish central bank. Why are they doing this?
MarketWatch writes:
“The policy imposes a charge on commercial banks when they place some types of deposit with the central bank. The aim is to encourage banks to lend, which stimulates the economy and pushes inflation higher.
“The adoption of the policy also shows how central banks are looking to their currencies as a way of boosting prices. Negative interest rates in a country discourage foreign investors from holding that country’s currency and that pushes the value of the currency down. That in turn pushes import prices up, giving the inflation rate a further boost.”

Savers must be depressed in Sweden.
Twitter Censoring non-PC Viewpoints?
Twitter announced on Tuesday’s Safer Internet Day that it would be establishing the Twitter Trust & Safety Council, a group that would combat online harassment and abuse. The advisory panel wants to come up with new features and policies that would quash any sort of tweet that attacks a person.
Everyone celebrated when the announcement was made because with 500 million tweets a day, it was sure that at least one person’s feelings would be hurt. Twitter UK’s head of policy, Nick Pickles, said the microblogging website is trying to strike the right balance between free speech and harassment.
“Safety and freedom of speech go hand in hand,” Pickles said. “The unique thing about Twitter as a public platform is that what I have to say can be seen by anyone anywhere in the world, and it has the power to challenge views. Twitter’s sum is greater than its parts.”
But is there more to it than that? Some think so. A growing number of people believe Twitter will only accept politically correct viewpoints and prohibit non-PC ideas. In other words, Twitter is looking to implement a Ministry of Truth, the iconic government department from George Orwell’s “1984.”
Here is what Mike Gonzalez, a senior fellow at The Heritage Foundation, writes:
“It isn’t exactly clear what the council will do. The announcement itself came laden with doublespeak phrases such as “our Trust and Safety Council will help us tap into the expertise and input of organizations at the intersection of these issues more efficiently and quickly.” More ominously, it said that Twitter is ‘taking a global and inclusive approach so that we can hear a diversity of voices.’
“As a private company, Twitter can of course permit any views it wants. Many conservatives already feel that Twitter is not as welcoming to their views as it is to those of liberals, and such an unbalanced membership in the council is not likely to change those views.
“In other words, Twitter reflected humanity, its best, its worst, and everything in between. There was no meta-enforcer, or very little of one. People could always block pesky trolls and report speech deemed harmful. But other than that, it was free flow.”
Clinton Loses New Hampshire, Wins Anyway
Independent Vermont Senator and 2016 socialist presidential candidate Bernie Sanders trounced Hillary Clinton this week in the New Hampshire Primary. He garnered nearly two-thirds of the vote. It was an incredible victory for the big government politician. One would think since he won a strong majority of the vote that he would get most of the delegates. Nope.
Under Democratic National Committee rules, Sanders will leave the Granite State with at least 13 delegates while Clinton leaves with at least 15 delegates. It’s because the state has eight superdelegates who are free to choose whomever they please, and they have pledged to support Clinton.
According to the Associated Press, Clinton already has 394 delegates (super and electorally assigned), while Sanders has just 42. Indeed, Clinton is the president-in-waiting.
This was Clinton’s reaction when she found out she was still winning New Hampshire even though she lost:
UAE’s Minister of Happiness
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) thinks the government can make people happy. That’s right.
UAE Prime Minister and Vice President Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum announced that he has created the Ministry of Happiness, a government happiness department with a Happiness Minister.
“We introduced the post of Minister of State for Happiness whose mission is to channel policies and plans to achieve a happier society,” the Sheikh wrote on Twitter.
Who knows what this exactly means? Do you get fined if you don’t follow the orders mandated under official happiness rules? Are you sent to a Happiness prison? This is just ludicrous.
