Many conservative or libertarian commentators and bloggers will often use the acronym “TINSTAAFL,” which means there is no such thing as a free lunch. It’s been written about by many economists over the years, particularly by Milton Friedman. But if you want a comical take on it then there’s an episode of “Seinfeld,” in which Jerry receives a brand new Armani suit from fellow comedian Kenny Bania…in exchange for dinner.

I have read several of Milton Friedman’s books and enjoyed them.
But it is a free lunch if you can get some idiot to pay for it.
When the government politicians use government force to pay for anything that we do not all benefit from, we all pay.
Infrastructure, police, firefighting, defense, and court spending benefit most of us.
The problem with other stuff the government elite want to spend money on, benefits the few by taking from the many. Just to make them feel good.
Feel good politics wastes billions, but ensures the sheeple will show up at the polls to vote.

Mitchell makes an xlnt point with; : “The problem isn’t rich people. It’s looters and moochers, regardless of their income.”
That crashes the emotional (not rational) attacks on the entire ‘0ne percent’. It’s the parasites that matter , so let’s bash the gov’t for; 1. trading favors for campaign donations (crony capitalism), and 2. after-retirement jobs.
