Former United States Vice President Dan Quayle was an astute politician. Here is just one of his many eloquent statements made over his lifetime:
“Hawaii has always been a very pivotal role in the Pacific. It is IN the Pacific. It is a part of the United States that is an island that is right here.”
Absolute brilliance!
But in all seriousness, Quayle announced that he will support the Republican nominee in November. In other words, he endorsed Donald Trump for president, and encouraged all of his GOP brethren to unite around Trump in order to defeat Hillary Clinton in November.
Speaking to NBC’s “Today Show,” Quayle presented the case that Trump was more qualified than Clinton.
“On paper, you’d say, well, she’s more qualified. But you know what? He’s more qualified in the sense that the American people, I think, want an outsider,” Quayle said. “And they want an outsider this time. She’s not an outsider, so if you’re looking for an outsider, no, she’s not qualified, and he is.”
Perhaps he will say next time that he loves Trump because he practically supported Ted Cruz (an allusion to Quayle’s comment “I love California, I practically grew up in Phoenix”). Quayle was just like George W. Bush in the sense that he made so many oratory mistakes from 88 to 92.
Quayle has to go boom boom now.
