Vermont Senator and self-proclaimed socialist Bernie Sanders is staying in the presidential race, despite not having enough delegates to defeat former Secretary of State and likely United States president Hillary Clinton. His decision to stay in the race could cost taxpayers about $1 million. It’s a drop in the bucket for the nation’s finances, but it does show how Sanders doesn’t care about tax money.

Do you comprehend that the SS agents would be on the payroll regardless if Sanders stayed in the race? They weren’t hired to protect him, they already had jobs with SS. At this point Sanders represents over 12,000,000 voters. He needs protection through the Convention. Ask SS if that money was in the budget prior to Sanders getting protection and heather when he steps away if those agents will be fired or, still have a job.

I agree, Charlotte, Mr. Moran has been wrong on so many things in the past, I do not spend much time reading his posts.
ECN needs to get someone who knows what they are talking about when it comes to politics and the economy. Mr. Moran throws out these senseless bombs every week. Just like when someone says it cost Billions to keep the military stationed overseas. Do they think if we bought all the troops home, they would not still cost billions to station them in the U.S.

Just another example of poor reporting. Andrew Moran is a Moron and a tool box and would be better off keeping his opinion to his face book posts. Andrew, how much does Clinton’s detail cost the taxpayer?
