If there is one thing 2016 Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is right about it’s this: the U.S. system is rigged.
FBI Director James Comey announced Tuesday that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton did not do anything wrong pertaining to the email controversy. He said that Clinton and her team were just clumsy about it and handled the emails “inappropriately.” Interesting!
This is the same man who indicted investment banker Frank Quattrone on charges of obstruction of justice in 2013 over a 23-word email. This is the same agency that pretty much condemned Naval Reservist Brian Nishimura over the same kind of email scandal.
“Nishimura, however, caused the materials to be downloaded and stored on his personal, unclassified electronic devices and storage media,” wrote the FBI. “He carried such classified materials on his unauthorized media when he traveled off-base in Afghanistan and, ultimately, carried those materials back to the United States at the end of his deployment.”
Indeed, you have to be pretty naive if you don’t think there was a wink wink, nudge nudge type of arrangement. Remember, it’s Clinton’s divine right to become president!
Well, what does Edward Snowden think about all of this? He issued a tweet that pretty much sums up the investigation:
— Edward Snowden (@Snowden) July 5, 2016
He issued a similar tweet last month:
Break classification rules for the public’s benefit, and you could be exiled.
Do it for personal benefit, and you could be President.
— Edward Snowden (@Snowden) June 1, 2016
Unfortunately, both Trump and Clinton do not favor Snowden whatsoever. Trump wants Snowden shot and Clinton claims Snowden has “blood on his hands.” Absurd! He should be nailed as a national hero.
