The first United States presidential debate is in the history books. It wasn’t really earth shattering as many of us expected it would be. Still, it proved two things: Donald Trump is awful and Hillary Clinton is a lying, deceitful, corrupt politician.
What should be generating headlines is the fact that Clinton fibbed several times. The biggest blunder was her lie about being against the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).
On Monday night, the former Secretary of State, in regards to the TPP, said: “I did say I hoped it would be a good deal.”
This is a blatant lie, and she knows it. Her supposed opposition to it now is simple political expediency.
Here is just one statement she has made praising the TPP:
“This TPP sets the gold standard in trade agreements to open free, transparent, fair trade, the kind of environment that has the rule of law and a level playing field,” she said in Australia in 2012. “And when negotiated, this agreement will cover 40 percent of the world’s total trade and build in strong protections for workers and the environment.”
Also, here is a clip of Clinton celebrating the TPP two-dozen times:
How could she lie like that? Considering how she has been in front of the camera for more than 30 years now, you would think that she would have common sense not to spout such a lie.
Since it’s likely the media will not make a big deal out of it, perhaps Clinton thought she could fool 100 million people and the mainstream media. Or perhaps it’s something bigger: she’s a pathological liar. She just lies, lies and lies.
Clinton has lied about the origin of her name, coming under sniper fire, where her daughter was on the morning of Sept. 11, emails, Benghazi and the list goes on. All she does is lie. It’s worse than Trump’s constant lying.
