MSNBC held a Libertarian Party town hall meeting on Wednesday. During the event, former New Mexico Republican Governor Gary Johnson was asked who his favorite foreign leader is right now. He couldn’t answer the question.
Johnson was trying real hard to think of someone (perhaps he was considering a person who would be accepted by the media?). His running mate, Bill Weld, chimed in and selected Shimon Peres.
The Libertarian Party nominee finally selected Vicente Fox, the former President of Mexico. Why would Johnson choose him? He raised the minimum wage, he proposed a value-added tax (VAT) and the economy hardly expanded under his administration. Also, if you want to use Johnson’s criteria of what is deemed racist then Fox would be found guilty.
Speaking to a conference of Texas businessmen, Fox told the audience:
“There is no doubt that Mexicans, filled with dignity, willingness and ability to work, are doing jobs that not even blacks want to do there in the United States.”
This is just another series of gaffes from Johnson. From sticking his tongue out to wanting a carbon tax, Johnson will go down as one of the worst leaders of the Libertarian Party. Besides, he should’ve just told Chris Matthews that he doesn’t like any of the world leaders because they’re a bunch of statists.
Anyway, here is the video of Johnson embedded below:

Why are they asking such trivial questions in the first place?
