The newspaper headlines across the United States were about Donald Trump saying that he would not accept the election results if he did not win in November. Immediately, Democratic politicians, liberal pundits and left-wing newspapers slammed the Republican nominee for making such heinous comments.
Libertarian commentator Tom Woods sarcastically summed it up perfectly in a recent newsletter:
“Since elections are the sacraments of the American religion, it is blasphemy of the highest order to call them into question. Why, everyone accepts the results and moves on, and that’s what makes our system so awesome!“
So, is this idea that elections rigged only coming from Trump and his surrogates? Nope. It’s been going on for years.
These same liberal politicians, pundits and newspapers have made allegations of corrupt, stolen and rigged elections since 2000. Even today, the likes of President Obama, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren and Hillary Clinton have said the system is rigged (SEE: Barack Obama, Bernie Sanders agree with Donald Trump: the system is rigged (video)).
MSNBC‘s Morning Joe highlighted the numerous claims made by the left since the year 2000 in the video embedded below:
This election cycle should just prove one thing: the difference between a Republican and a Democrat is that one is power and the other one isn’t. One will claim foul, while the other will say everything is on the up and up.
