Last week, it was reported that the likes of Google and Facebook are trying to quash so-called fake news sources (SEE: You just made the list! List of fake news sources according to one extreme leftist professor). One list was being circulated that showed an array of conservative and alt-right websites, and a couple of liberal outlets to save face, were identified as supposed fake news outlets.
The question on a lot of people’s minds were: what about the mainstream media? How many times have they pushed fake news stories over the years? The WMDs in Iraq, the incubator baby hoax, Pat Tillman, Obamacare and the list goes on. CNN, ABC, NBC and the like have all peddled fraudulent news stories on a regular basis.
Common sense would dictate that the MSM would be on the list of fake news sources. Nope.
Well, they are on one list: The Ron Paul Liberty Report’s list of fake news sources and, as Chris Rossini writes, “this one holds a lot more water.”
Here is the list:
“This list contains the culprits who told us that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction and lied us into multiple bogus wars,” Rossini writes. “These are the news sources that told us ‘if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor.’ They told us that Hillary Clinton had a 98% of winning the election. They tell us in a never-ending loop that ‘The economy is in great shape!'”
You are considered a fake news source if you espouse the truth in the empire of lies, if you report news that goes against the establishment’s narrative. Simply put: you are a fake news outlet if you refuse to adopt the mainstream narrative of war is peace, ignorance is strength, freedom is slavery and some are more equal than others.
