The World Economic Forum (WEF) believes capitalism has to be changed because of…populism.
According to “Global Risks Report” released in Davos on Wednesday, the WEF opined that it is imperative to reform the very nature of capitalism because of growing populist political movements happening all over the world, citing the election of Donald Trump and the British voting to leave the sinking ship known as the European Union (EU).
Moreover, the WEF alluded to “rising income and wealth disparity” worldwide, adding that increasing CEO pay at a time when many households in advanced economies are struggling is one example of the pressing need to modify capitalism.
“This points to the need for reviving economic growth, but the growing mood of anti-establishment populism suggests we may have passed the stage where this alone would remedy fractures in society: reforming market capitalism must also be added to the agenda,” the report stated.
“The combination of economic inequality and political polarization threatens to amplify global risks, fraying the social solidarity on which the legitimacy of our economic and political systems rests.”
Ultimately, the WEF says, the four primary challenges that need to be addressed over the next 10 years are: capitalism, community inclusiveness and identity, technology and global cooperation (in other words, global government).
“Some people question whether the West has reached a tipping point and might now embark on a period of de-globalization,” the report added. “It is no coincidence that challenges to social cohesion and policymakers’ legitimacy are coinciding with a highly disruptive phase of technological change.”
But what the heck is the WEF talking about when it mentions reforms to capitalism? We have never been richer, global poverty is shrinking, technology is increasing our purchasing power and innovation is helping us live longer. Capitalism doesn’t need any changing; it is the only system in the history of the world that has lifted a billion people out of poverty.
Although a lot of the details of the populist sentiment are disappointing, a large segment of the movement stems from the corruption, theft, failure and arrogance of governments and the political elite. To dismiss their concerns about gradual formation of global governance, mass immigration and how white people are being blamed for everything is what is driving this political shift.
Do you know what needs to be changed? Crony capitalism, the size of governments and trade agreements that do not enhance free trade. These are challenges that should be addressed over the next decade.

It never ceases to surprises me how the Global Elitist continue to attack anything that has shown actual sucess historically concerning personal or national growth of a People or a nation.
They seek absolute control over All, and will never give up their plans for that control.
No matter how they try to present their ideas to the world, or how they justfy their ideaology by “catch phrases” and “intellectual” studies; it is far too easy to see through their abject plan.
The People of this nation have to continue to battle back with their voices and their votes; and above all, by publically exposing the Global Elitist to others continually.
Their ideals, and deeds, and plans, need to be presented in the light of truth.
