Well, that didn’t take too long.
President Donald Trump seems to be already continuing the tradition of the last two administrations in the form of utilizing drone strikes to kill enemies and civilians alike.
According to the latest reports, the United States killed approximately 75 people in Yemen over the weekend, which were the first drone strikes of the newest administration.
Reports suggest that 53 terrorists were killed in the strikes, which means around 20 may have been innocent civilians.
Despite winning the Nobel Peace Prize, former U.S. President Barack Obama expanded the drone program, which often led to collateral damage across the seven nations that he bombed for the last eight years. During his presidency, Obama dropped at least 100,000 bombs on predominantly Muslim nations, such as Yemen, Pakistan, Iraq and elsewhere in the Middle East and North Africa.
You can definitely expect Trump to amplify the drone strikes.
