Let’s be honest: United States President Donald Trump has made a lot of incorrect statements and has proposed a lot of questionable policies. But there is one comment that he uttered over the weekend that certainly can’t be countered: the U.S. isn’t “so innocent.”
Speaking in an interview with Bill O’Reilly on Sunday, Trump noted that he respects Russian President Vladimir Putin, adding that “I do respect him.”
“I respect a lot of people, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to get along with him,” Trump averred. “He’s a leader of his country. I say it’s better to get along with Russia than not. And if Russia helps us in the fight against ISIS, which is a major fight, and Islamic terrorism all over the world — that’s a good thing. Will I get along with him? I have no idea.”
Here is the exchange that is garnering much of the headlines:
O’Reilly interjected and described Putin as “a killer.”
Trump replied: “There are a lot of killers. We’ve got a lot of killers. What do you think? Our country’s so innocent?” He added: “Take a look at what we’ve done, too. We’ve made a lot of mistakes.”
Of course, the statist politicians, including Mitch McConnell, immediately condemned the president for these remarks.
This is quite an interesting statement to make, especially from a political point of view. No other modern U.S. president has ever made such an indictment about the U.S., and it will be interesting to see if progressives will lambast Trump or concur with him. Remember, it’s the progressives that are rioting, accusing the U.S. of being an imperialist, racist and violent nation as well as being Nazi.
Overall, however, Trump is absolutely correct: the U.S. is not innocent.
It has influenced dozens of foreign elections. It has bombed nations all over the world, which have been primarily unjustified, and has lied to the people to accomplish these endeavors. It has spied on the American people. It has maintained internment camps. It has experimented on the American people as per the recent CIA documents.
When Trump says the U.S. isn’t an innocent country then he should be celebrated for making such an admission. For all of the virtues that the U.S. maintains, primarily from an economic standpoint, the U.S. has committed many wrongs, both foreign and domestic.
This is why Trump has generated so much support all over the country.

The Truth is always a breath of Fresh Air, and a Truth has been spoken publicly by our President even though he did not go into detail.
Ideals and Principals, guided by morals, has always been the basis of this Nations character. Even though many in positions of elected power in own government, have not practiced such.
These very honest comments are why this man was elected by the People, and the equal reason why so many from the globalist factions, and their elected minions are attacking him.
The visible fight for this Republics future is now on display.
