The head of the European Union (EU) is so concerned about the fragility of the bloc that he is threatening to break up the United States as retribution.
Speaking in front of the centre-right European People Party’s (EPP) annual conference in Malta this week, EU Commission president Jean-Claude Juncker issued a threat heard around the world: he will campaign to fracture the U.S. because President Donald Trump supported Brexit. Juncker warned that this campaign will go on unless the U.S. president changes his attitude and becomes more supportive of the nation-state body.
“Brexit isn’t the end,” Juncker said. “A lot of people would like it that way, even people on another continent where the newly elected U.S. President was happy that the Brexit was taking place and has asked other countries to do the same.”
Many movements across Europe that want to leave the EU are gaining momentum. France, Italy and even Greece are places where there is a strong anti-EU sentiment brewing. And why not? The EU has been a disaster, and continues to be.
Juncker added: “If he goes on like that I am going to promote the independence of Ohio and Austin, Texas in the US.”
After reports started flooding the Internet, the EU quickly backed off those remarks, noting that Juncker was not being literal.
A few takeaways from this: first, if states want to secede from the Union then great! It is always great to have a secessionist movement, whether it is Calexit or Texit. Decentralization should be the ultimate objective of any nation.
Second, how worried and anxious is Juncker about the sinking ship known as the EU that he has to resort to retaliation?
Third, Trump should just stay out of the affairs of Great Britain and concentrate on what is occurring in the U.S.
Fourth, Juncker is a fool, a statist and a globalist who should never be trusted.

I would like to say to Jean-Claude Juncker that his plan is total junk. Only a misinformed Democrat would fall for his lies.
Oops…I guess I was redundant. But the chances of him succeeding with his stupid idea are between slim and none. And slim has just left town.
Give a clown like Juncker a silver spoon, and he’ll think he was born with it. The institution of the European Union deserves to die. Slowly at first, then suddenly.
