Advocates of free market capitalism often laugh at the situation in Venezuela because it is a perfect illustration of how socialism is a failure. Although we tend to laugh at the Bernie Sanders crowd who love socialism, we have to remember that there are real people in Caracas who are suffering every single day because of this ideology. We can go out to the grocery store at any hour of the day to feed ourselves, but there are people all over Venezuela who wait all night for a can of milk. And they may not even get that!
Ari Horowitz partnered up with PragerU to travel to Venezuela and record what exactly is going on. Horowitz spoke to the people on the ground to understand the widespread suffering, poverty and hunger. Their comments regarding socialism at the end are definitely not surprising.

Of course, there will still be people who say this isn’t real socialism, while Sanders may say that bread lines are a great thing!
