According to the mind of Senator Bernie Sanders, pretty much everything in life is a right and a necessity and should be paid for by the government.
On Tuesday, the former presidential candidate tweeted that broadband Internet is a necessity and not a luxury. Here is the tweet:
Broadband access is a necessity, not a luxury. Period.https://t.co/QbDyBsNPz0
— Bernie Sanders (@SenSanders) April 25, 2017
Right away, somebody replied with a simply yet effective question:
@SenSanders Is there anything that isn’t a necessity? Is there anything people should have to work for as opposed to being given it by the gov’t?

This is yet another reason as to why Sanders is a god to millennials across the United States. Since young people love the Internet and can’t live without it, they will turn to any politician who will make the claim that either the Internet is a right or it should be free (paid for by taxpayers).
But broadband access is not a right. You have a right to life, to liberty, to the fruits of your labor, to your property. But you do not have a right to own a house, own a smartphone or own access to broadband.
April 2017 has been a bad month for liberty.
