So much for a Donald Trump White House being clean from Wall Street insiders…
Press Secretary Sean Spicer has reportedly quit his position over his objections to the White House appointing Anthony Scaramucci, the senior vice president and chief strategy officer at the U.S. Export-Import Bank and former Goldman Sachs employee.
Reportedly, the president wanted Spicer to stay on as Press Secretary, but Spicer warned that the latest appointee would be a big mistake for the administration. Ostensibly, both chief of staff Reince Priebus and top adviser Steve Bannon objected to the appointment as well.
The Trump White House is certainly the second home for many Goldman Sachs employees.
That said, Spicer will be missed as he was entertaining at every press briefing.
