A week after ABC News posted fake news about Candidate Trump ordering Michael Flynn to reach out to the Russians, CNN followed suit, reporting their own fake news.
On Friday, CNN hyped an “exclusive” report that suggested collusion between the Trump campaign, WikiLeaks and the Russians.
According to the Counterfeit News Network, Trump Jr. was sent an email on September 4, 2016 from a man named Michael J. Erickson. The contents of the email included a link to WikiLeaks documents and a decryption key to emails.
Of course, the reaction was swift: IMPEACH DRUMPF NOW!
It turns out that CNN botched the story because the real date of the email was September 14, which was one day after WikiLeaks made the emails public.

Also, Michael J. Erickson isn’t some Kremlin-connected mastermind. He is a manager of an aviation company.
Ouch.
This is just further ammunition for Trump and his base. It is as bad as CNN reporting that former FBI director James Comey was going to testify that President Trump is personally under investigation.
