Every year, the State of the Union address becomes even more unbearable than the last. One side stands up and cheers (repeatedly), while the other side sits on their hands. And when they find a common cause (war), they both stand up and applaud.
If you didn’t get the opportunity to watch the 90-minute speech, then three-time presidential candidate Ron Paul provided a succinct summary of the speech:
Summary: The most dangerous part of the speech was the glorification of militarism and our aggressive foreign policy. Sadly, the Members’ over-enthusiastic response to the militarism was not encouraging. #SOTU

Ugh.
The problem with the SOTU address is that the messages are distorted, and the rebuttals are just as distorted.
JRATT1956 says
How can anyone say the SOTU is great, when we owe over 20 trillion dollars? And trillions more in unfunded crap that has been promised by our delusional politicians, both State and Federal. The next financial crisis is going to be a worldwide catastrophe. I hope I am already taking a dirt nap, before it happens.
