Cities are twiddling their thumbs, sending up prayers, and possibly using voodo magic to encourage Amazon to select their town for their second headquarters as the company’s exodus from Seattle persists.
Although Amazon has not named its top five finalists, the Bank of America thinks it has a good idea as to who those five cities are, according to ZeroHedge.
Here is what the financial institution believes:
- Atlanta, Georgia
- Boston, Massachusetts
- Denver, Colorado
- Raleigh, North Carolina
- Washington D.C. (including Montgomery County and Northern Virginia).
If Amazon wants to garner more government contracts, cozy up with politicians, and enhance its crony ways, then Washington is the logical choice.
The company does have a disclaimer, though, about its picks:
“While Amazon has stated requirements, weighting of these factors remains unclear, introducing a degree of art in our selection of possible HQ2 cities. Our analysis also focuses exclusively on the relative attractiveness of each potential market and thus does not contemplate availability or viability of specific sites for the actual headquarters.”
Surprisingly, Jeff Bezos isn’t demanding that these cities engage in combat!
