Senator Bernie Sanders recently had an online panel with Senator Elizabeth Warren and Michael Moore about income inequality. They perpetuated the typical leftist myths: the rich are getting richer while the poor are getting poor, capitalism is evil, and we need more government. Yada, yada, yada.
But is this even accurate?
Hardly. It’s just one of those myths that the left enjoys spouting for whatever reason.
Despite all of the government intervention in the economy and internal affairs of foreign nations, free market capitalism is allowing people all over the world to get richer. In fact, global income inequality is dwindling and the international poverty rate is in the single digits.
Back in the United States, income mobility is vibrant with the middle class entering into higher income brackets. It’s remarkable considering how the U.S. government continues to rear its ugly head and debase the dollar. But the poor are getting richer faster, and this should be celebrated and making headline news.
PragerU has a new video out featuring British writer, journalist, and politician Daniel Hannan talking about how the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting richer all over the world because of the magic of capitalism and free trade.
Note: this would be a great video for President Donald Trump to watch!
