How many hours do you watch television in a year? It’s probably in the 100s. But is this behavior starting to change? Perhaps it will as more Americans cut the cord.
According to a new study by cg42, more than five million U.S. consumers will cut the cord this year. This is up from 3.8 million in 2016 and 4.8 million in 2017.
The move is also expected to cost the pay-tv industry 5.5 billion in lost subscription revenues.

So, where are these cord cutters and “cord nevers” going? Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Hulu have topped the list.

With such loss of revenue these companies will find it necessary to raise rates. This could very well push millions more into cutting the cord. Yay!!!
