Over the weekend, Big Tech colluded to censor Alex Jones and Infowars. Apple, Spotify, Google/YouTube, and Facebook appear to have worked together to wipe Jones clean off of their platforms for vague allegations of hate speech. In other words, they caved to PC, leftist, big government, pro-war culture.
And, yes, these are private companies and they can do whatever they want.
The left is celebrating blatant censorship of someone they disagree with. One of these celebratory leftists was Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT), who tweeted:
Infowars is the tip of a giant iceberg of hate and lies that uses sites like Facebook and YouTube to tear our nation apart. These companies must do more than take down one website. The survival of our democracy depends on it.

What makes the tweet interesting is that he tweeted this more than a year ago:
A free & open internet is essential to our democracy. We can’t let Trump’s @FCC gut #netneutrality Take action at https://t.co/Hqh3LljXIE

So, which is it?
Senator Murphy can’t seem to make up his mind on freedom.
