Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau officially announced his re-election bid on Monday. Trudeau and the Liberals will attempt to maintain their majority in next year’s federal election, in which they surely will, despite the fact that Trudeau doesn’t know what he is doing and the endless number of gaffes.
This is especially true since Andrew Scheer doesn’t seem like much of an intellectual heavyweight – and he doesn’t have nice hair.
The prime minister’s path to re-election began with a heckler who dared to ask Trudeau about taxpayer dollars.
During an event in Sabrevois, Quebec, an old lady asked Trudeau shouted: “I want to know when you are going to refund the $146 million we paid for your illegal immigrants.”
In typical leftist fashion, Trudeau accused the woman of racism.
“This intolerance towards immigrants has no room in Canada,” he said.
“Racism has no place here.”
Let’s dissect a couple of things here:
First, she asked a reasonable question about the millions of dollars Trudeau has spent on refugees and illegal immigrants. Whether this was an accurate figure or not can be debated, but questioning about the use of taxpayers’ money is not racist.
Second, immigrant is not a race; you can immigrate from Sweden and you can immigrate from Uganda, but that doesn’t define your skin color.
Unfortunately, Trudeau can win with this kind of strategy.
Since Canadians are not immune to all racist accusations like their American counterparts are, if someone accuses you of racism, then the public will believe it immediately.
To Trudeau, everything is racist. From questioning multiculturalism to asking for a strategy to defeat ISIS, the whole world is racist except for Justin “Peoplekind” Trudeau.
