News of the Day: The U.S. labor market continues to add jobs and beat market expectations.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the U.S. economy created 201,000 jobs, more than the 191,000 jobs analysts had projected. The unemployment rate remained unchanged at 3.9 percent.
A huge gain in wages is making headlines as hourly earnings jumped 2.9% to $27.16 per hour, the biggest jump since April 2009.
In 2018, the U.S. economy has produced an average of 207,000 new jobs per month, which is a faster pace than 2016 and 2017.

Illustration of the Day: Earlier this week, the left pushed a conspiracy theory that Zina Bash was doing a symbol of white supremacists, which is the OK sign. In reality, she was merely resting her right hand on her left arm. But Bash trolled the left on Thursday in epic fashion:
Quote of the Day: With President Donald Trump potentially targeting Japan with tariffs, here is another anti-tariff, pro-trade piece of commentary from the legend Henry Hazlitt:
“The effect of a tariff, therefore, is to change the structure of American production. It changes the number of occupations, the kind of occupations, and the relative size of one industry as compared with another. It makes the industries in which we are comparatively inefficient larger, and the industries in which we are comparatively efficient smaller. Its net effect, therefore, is to reduce American efficiency, as well as to reduce efficiency in the countries with which we would otherwise have traded more largely.”
Tweet of the Day: Representative Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) is potentially one of the most important members of Congress. She seems to be the only one in the House to slam the foreign interventions, the regime changes, and the wars.
Tulsi Gabbard today: “Enough is enough. The U.S. must end its support for Saudi Arabia, and stop waging interventionist wars that increase destruction, death, and suffering around the world, drain our resources here at home, and threaten our own national security.” #Yemen pic.twitter.com/MmlJSCxHjD

Video of the Day: Here is the highly entertaining video between Joe Rogan and Elon Musk – entertaining in the sense that Musk seemed more awkward than usual and he does weed.
