Eric Swalwell (D-CA) will go very far in politics because he is the epitome of what a politician is and perpetuates the two-party system. He also likes to parrot the talking points, including Russia attacked the United States. He never strays from the narrative.
Why talk about the potential 2020 presidential candidate?
Well, on Tuesday, Swalwell tweeted this:
Lawless. He is absolutely lawless. @realDonaldTrump is the subject of an investigation. Using his power to selectively release classified information is an abuse of power. His days of unchecked abuse are numbered. Tick tock. We will just mark this as another exhibit. https://t.co/9qbxhiRY5B

The media is complaining just as much as Swalwell is. Suddenly, to the media, declassification of government documents is odious and should be prohibited from happening.
But Swalwell didn’t always hold the same opinion.
Here is a headline from Politico back in April 2017:
“Swalwell dares Trump: Declassify the surveillance documents.”
Please, could politicians on both sides of the aisle show some consistency? The hypocrisy in the age of Trump is just hilarious.

I would like to point out to this Member of Congress who knows very little that, under all circumstances, the President is the ultimate classifying authority. The President can make a determination at any time that any information labeled as “classified” can be de-classified. And this can be done without being subject to review by Congress or anyone else.
