Well, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has agreed to debate her Republican challenger, Anthony Pappas, for New York’s 14th Congressional District. (No word yet if she accused him of sexism for his request to debate her).
From the Pappas campaign:
On Thursday, September 21, 2018, our campaign manager was contacted by QueensLatino news publisher, Javier Castano, to confirm a debate between the two major party candidates in New York’s 14th congressional district. We were assured that Ocasio-Cortez had already accepted his invitation, and we quickly agreed. A school auditorium was tentatively announced as a location with the date and time to be arranged. We will keep you abreast of this development as we call on the Ocasio-Cortez campaign to accept our request for three more debates in other parts of the district during October.
Let’s be clear: Ocasio-Cortez has already won the election, and no matter how much common sense, logic, and facts Pappas will deliver during the debate, AOC will win decisively because those in the district like to hear free tuition, free healthcare, free housing, free Internet, a jobs guarantee, and Israel is evil.
It would be a miracle if Pappas pulled out a victory, but that is about as likely as socialism succeeding.
