News Story of the Day: It looks like President Donald Trump isn’t closing the trade gap with China, despite all of his 18th century mercantilist policies.
China posted a trade surplus with the U.S., and it widened to a record $34.1 billion last month as exports to the U.S. surged by 13 percent from the same time a year ago. But imports of U.S. goods only jumped nine percent, down from 11.1 percent.
