Well, President Donald Trump is not going to be happy about this.
According to the latest numbers from the Department of Commerce, the goods trade balance declined to $76.036 billion in September, beating the July 2008 record high deficit of $76.025 billion.
Last month, imports climbed 1.5 percent to $216.988 billion and exports increased 1.8 percent to $140.952 billion.
Despite the tariffs, import restrictions, and new trade deals, the balance of trade isn’t getting any better for the president.
How will Trump defend these numbers?
