Hillary Clinton epitomizes that politician who cannot sleep at night without power and controlling the people’s lives. She can’t come to grips that she will not be president, despite spending much of the last 30 years building a campaign.
First it was Barack Obama who destroyed her attempts. Then it was Donald Trump. Will Trump dash her dreams once again?
Mark Penn, a pollster and senior adviser to Bill and Hillary Clinton from 1995-2008, and Andrew Stein, former Democratic Manhattan borough president and president of the New York City Council, write in The Wall Street Journal that “Hillary Will Run Again.”
That has to be a joke, right?
They further opine:
“Get ready for Hillary Clinton 4.0. More than 30 years in the making, this new version of Mrs. Clinton, when she runs for president in 2020, will come full circle—back to the universal-health-care-promoting progressive firebrand of 1994. True to her name, Mrs. Clinton will fight this out until the last dog dies. She won’t let a little thing like two stunning defeats stand in the way of her claim to the White House.”
Penn and Stein pen that the American people will witness “Hillary 4.0.”
According to them, “2.0 was a moderate” and “3.0” catered to the coastal elites.” Now, as part of the 4.0 brand, “They will see her now as strong, partisan, left-leaning and all-Democrat—the one with the guts, experience and steely-eyed determination to defeat Mr. Trump. She has had two years to go over what she did wrong and how to take him on again.”
If the Democratic Party had any common sense and will to win, then they would pull a 2016 and rig the primaries – this time against her.
One can only imagine the excuses Clinton would have if she were to lose for the third time.
