Well, it looks like fiscal conservatism is a foreign concept in the Trump administration.
Despite complaining about reckless spending under former President Barack Obama and the Democrats, the Republicans have failed to deliver on their promises to rein in the spending. To note, President Donald Trump never really pledged to trim the deficit or cap spending.
That said, America’s finances are worsening.
According to the latest Treasury Department data, the federal government reported a budget deficit of $100.5 billion in October, up 59 percent from the same time a year ago.
Last month, total revenues were $252.7 billion, while total outlays were $353.2 billion.
This would be the at least the 70th consecutive month that Washington has run an October deficit.
JRATT says
It will be even worse when the FED imposed recession, by raising interest rates, comes in 2019 and revenues are even less than this year.
