News Story of the Day: You know America’s finances are in bad shape when the government is collecting record revenues and still can’t even come close to running a balanced budget for the month.
According to the Monthly Treasury Statement, the federal government received a record $458.653 billion in tax revenues. But the government spent $764.046 billion. This means Washington ran a budget deficit of $305.393 billion.
Republican or Democrat, the politicians are reckless with the country’s future.
