Counterfeit News Network keeps embarrassing itself. If it cared about the public good, then it would shut its doors and save a few brain cells.
But that won’t happen.
So, what did CNN do now?
A Black Man Has White Privilege
Well, first, the news outlet accused a black man of having white privilege.
CNN legal analyst Areva Martin spoke with SiriusXM radio host and Fox News contributor David Webb regarding Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY)’s charge that the mainstream press do not have enough black journalists covering politics.
Of course, Martin agreed, and Webb said that he has seen diversity grow in his 31 years in the media.
Then the interview went off the rails when the CNN host asked Martin if the Black Entertainment Television (BET) channel should hire a white or Hispanic reporter. Webb believes it should be up to the network, but ultimately he believes qualifications should be the issue.
She replied by accusing him of having white privilege, adding that “by virtue of being a white male, you have white privilege.”
Webb single-handedly annihilated her:
“Areva, I hate to break it to you, but you should have been better prepped. I’m black … See, you went to white privilege. This is the falsehood in this. You went immediately with an assumption … You’re talking to a black man who started out in rock radio in Boston, who crossed the paths into hip-hop, rebuilding one of the greatest black stations in America, and went on to work for Fox News, where I’m told apparently blacks aren’t supposed to work, but yet you come with this assumption and you go to white privilege. That’s actually insulting!”
She apologized and said she her people gave her the wrong information.

Ouch.
Just a Salad
Now, for some reason, President Donald Trump serving fast food to a bunch of athletes perturbed the press. They had wall-to-wall coverage of the 300 hamburgers being given to the Clemson Tigers’ football team that were paid for by Trump.
He made this joke that ignited a firestorm at CNN:
“So I had a choice. Do we have no food for you? Because we have a shutdown, or do we give you some little quick salads that the first lady will make, along with — along with the second lady, they’ll make some salads.”
Erin Burnett and Joan Walsh were apoplectic by the “incredibly sexist” remarks.
Walsh said:
“That’s appalling. It seems to me like the president will not be happy until there is not one single female Republican voter in the country. It’s incredibly sexist.”
Burnett added:
“Sometimes what people say when they’re being funny exposes exactly who they are and what they think. Not that there was any question, but this is pretty clear.
…
I’m not over-reading it. He made a joke that was sexist about woman. I guess maybe what we’re disagreeing with is whether it’s funny and whether humor is something that’s serious.”
CNN’s business model is to merely complain and contradict everything he says. If Trump declared that he loved salads, CNN would have breaking news coverage of how unhealthy salads are.
