The left can be a tad hysterical at times.
Remember when a student thought her school was holding a Ku Klux Klan rally, only for it to be a cloth covering a projector (Thanks Tom Woods for that hilarious story!) Every day, the left salivates at the idea of some bombshell that connects Russia to President Donald Trump, only for it to never materialize.
While the pearl-clutching is hilarious, it’s also a case of the boy who cried wolf too many times.
Discussing the Covington Catholic High School incident on the Counterfeit News Network, a commentator jacked it up to defcon levels with paranoia.
CNN commentator Angela Rye had this to say (emphasis ours):
“I wish that for one moment we can talk about what we see. People are talking about what is happening right now as a result of this particular incident is our varying perspectives, and I think that’s such a powerful point.
Forget Donald Trump for a moment, and just think about that symbol of that red hat. When I see the ‘Make America Great Again’ hat now, Chris, I am triggered. I’m so triggered.
This Make America Great Again hat is just as maddening and frustrating and triggering for me to look at as a KKK hood. That is the type of hatred that [Trump’s] policies represent. And until we can have common ground and understanding about that, that it’s that triggering, we’re going to continue to have problems.”
It was a surprise that she did not say Trump is LITERALLY HITLER.
CNN echoed her sentiments in an op-ed, titled “Why Trump’s MAGA hats have become a potent symbol of racism.”
