Venezuela was on the verge of collapse, thanks to its socialist policies. Yet, the United States could not but help intervene and participate in some good old-fashioned regime change. The blowback of this failed venture is now that scholars in the future will claim that Caracas could have been that socialist paradise if it were not for the meddling westerners. The spirit of socialism will live on rather than just die a horrible death.
That said, Ron Paul and Daniel McAdams examined the latest developments in America’s role in the oil-rich country and provided some great insight (as usual).
