America’s favorite billionaire, Warren Buffett, is clamoring for more taxes again, despite having the opportunity to write the United States Treasury a check for whatever amount he believes is fair.
Speaking in an interview with CNBC on Monday, the head of Berkshire Hathaway explained that the rich are undertaxed and should be paying more – the data confirms that the wealthy are already paying more than their fair share (SEE: THANKS: Top 1% paid as much in federal income taxes as bottom 95%).
“The wealthy are definitely undertaxed relative to the general population. As we get more specialized, the rich will get richer. The question is: ‘How do you take care of a guy who is a wonderful citizen whose father died in Normandy and just doesn’t have market skills?’ I think the income tax credit is the best way to address that.”
He added: “That probably means more taxes for guys like me, and I’m fine with it.”
On politics, he said that he would vote for former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg should he run for president in 2020.
“If Mike Bloomberg announced tomorrow that he’s a candidate, I’d say I’m for him. I think he’d be a very good president,” he said. “He and I disagree on some things … but I think he knows how to run things,” he added. “He’s got the right goals for America. He understands people. He understands the market system. And he understands the problems of people.”
Bloomberg is slated to announce his intentions for 2020 by the end of February.
So, a Dutch historian becomes famous on social media because he parrots what a billionaire says (SEE: A Dutch historian gains overnight fame for … demanding higher taxes)? What a time to be alive!

Billionaires supporting other billionaires, against the rest of America. No surprise that Buffett would support Doomberg.
Does Doomberg even live in the United States? I thought his residence was in Bermuda. When he was NYC Mayor, he would fly down to his home in Bermuda every weekend, while only “living” in New York City during the week. If this is the case, it would negate his right to run for President, since he would have not been a resident of the United States for the last 14 years.
