President Donald Trump, should he win re-election in 2020, probably cannot wait until Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell’s four-year term has come to an end. He likely wishes he nominated Kevin Warsh or chose Janet Yellen.
Speaking privately with Republicans, Trump said that Powell has “no feel” for the United States economy, adding that he is a poor putter, reports Politico.
He also made a few other non-related items:
– Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA) is a “pencil neck.”
– The Democrats should not be left off the hook for the Russian collusion hoax.
– The GOP should investigate misdeeds by the Democrats.
Last week, Trump noted that the U.S. economy would have grown more than four percent if it weren’t for Powell and his Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) raising interest rates.
But should a Fed leader even have a so-called feel for the economy? Nope, because this implies that the country should be centrally planned and the economy should be controlled.
