News Story of the Day: Will the Federal Reserve slash interest rates soon? The United States central bank already confirmed that it has taken a breather on raising rates and unwinding the $4 trillion balance sheet. So, anything is possible at this point.
But the White House is going as far as encouraging the Eccles Building to cut rates “immediately.”
Speaking in an interview with Axios, White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow revealed that he “would love to see” the Fed reduce interest rates by half a percentage point.
With the Fed seemingly taking its marching orders from the Trump administration lately, it is possible that a fourth round of quantitative easing is night (SEE: QE4 here we come? Peter Schiff may be right about Fed policy after dovish meeting).
Chart of the Day: It is said that there the world cannot sustain present population levels. It is hogwash. But that’s besides the point. Let’s take a look at the 7.5 billion people in this world:
Illustration of the Day: Did you hear? President Donald Trump did not collude with Russia, but that hasn’t stopped the left from parroting this fib. That said, here is a fun meme coming out of the special counsel Robert Mueller investigation:
Quote of the Day: Think college professors are liberals? Try the school administrators. That’s the conclusion from a recent New York Times op-ed that is worth a read. Here is an excerpt:
While considerable focus has been placed in recent decades on the impact of the ideological bent of college professors, when it comes to collegiate life — living in dorms, participating in extracurricular organizations — the ever growing ranks of administrators have the biggest influence on students and campus life across the country.
Intrigued by this phenomenon, I recently surveyed a nationally representative sample of roughly 900 “student-facing” administrators — those whose work concerns the quality and character of a student’s experience on campus. I found that liberal staff members outnumber their conservative counterparts by the astonishing ratio of 12-to-one. Only 6 percent of campus administrators identified as conservative to some degree, while 71 percent classified themselves as liberal or very liberal (see chart above). It’s no wonder so much of the nonacademic programming on college campuses is politically one-sided.
The 12-to-one ratio of liberal to conservative college administrators makes them the most left-leaning group on campus. In previous research, I found that academic faculty report a six-to-one ratio of liberal to conservative professors. Incoming first-year students, by contrast, reported less than a two-to-one ratio of liberals to conservatives, according to a 2016 finding by the Higher Education Research Institute. It appears that a fairly liberal student body is being taught by a veryliberal professoriate — and socialized by an incredibly liberal group of administrators.
Tweet of the Day: The coverage of Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has gotten bad – real bad. At first, the conservative press wrote articles debunking their claims. Today, they just mock AOC, which is endearing her to the public in the same way President Donald Trump garners sympathy. Here is a funny tweet that summarizes the conservative media’s coverage of AOC.

Video of the Day: John Brennan, the former CIA director, is an evil man. He isn’t only evil, he also doesn’t know anything. This is proof of it.
