Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) continues to only speak with media outlets that are sympathetic to her cause and will bow down to her almighty wisdom. The last show that even remotely challenged her views was PBS’s “Firing Line,” a moderate right-of-center program. Since then, she has only spoken to journalists, anchors, and hosts who will just shower her with praise and not offer any hard-hitting questions.
You can’t blame her, though. She wants to rise climb the ladder, she wants to write books, she wants to earn those six-figure speaking fees, she wants to rise to power. If she were exposed for her lack of understanding, whether it’s on economics or foreign policy, then it threatens her goals.
On Friday, AOC participated in MSNBC’s town hall on the Green New Deal. As expected, all the questions were softballs, Chris Hayes was mostly in agreement with her, and the audience was friendly to her stances. It was a great piece of propaganda, though it was surprising that she didn’t accuse Hayes of catcalling since he wanted to discuss her policies (SEE: Is it sexist to ask a politician to debate? Ocasio-Cortez thinks it is).
Here is a clip from the event:
Yes, you just lost a few brain cells. But it doesn’t matter since the world is ending in a decade.
