How can senior Americans afford retirement if they’re being pushed into retirement?
Well, that is one of the latest trends occurring in the United States today, and that is making life more difficult for those in their 50s and 60s.
According to the Federal Reserve’s sixth annual survey of household economics, one-quarter of Americans are pushed into retirement. The reasons? A lack of available work, poor health, or terminated from their job.
This is bad news because close to one-fifth of individuals 60 or older admit they do not have any savings. Moreover, they conceded that they felt uncomfortable making investment decisions, so any retirement funds were being depleted because of inflation.
While the Democrats talk about impeaching President Donald Trump and the Republicans make fun of leftist tears, there is a serious retirement crisis unfolding in the nation today.
No longer are older American workers getting a gold watch when they retire. Instead, they’re getting the pink slip.
