There are two possible scenarios to explain MSNBC’s latest bout of fake news: Anchors cannot possibly believe that Democrats can be racist or they are spouting fake news.
Former Vice President Joe Biden is in trouble for defending his past working with two segregationist senators.
Speaking at a New York fundraiser, Biden said that he was able to work with Senator James Eastland (D-MS) and Senator Herman Talmadge (D-GA), who were prominent segregationists.
Biden discussed the “broken” hyperpartisanship in Washington today and discussed his time when he was elected in 1972:
“We didn’t agree on much of anything,” adding that Talmadge was “one of the meanest guys I ever knew” and that Eastland called him “son.” But, according to Biden “At least there was some civility. We got things done.”
“The point I’m making is you don’t have to agree. You don’t have to like the people in terms of their views. But you just simply make the case and you beat them without changing the system.”
Well, this has sparked controversy, prompting Biden’s rivals to be outraged and demanding an apology.
But something funny happened on MSNBC the other day: The anchors referred to the two senators as Republicans.
Here is the clip:
This is about as bad the time when CNN falsely claimed that Governor Ralph Northam was a Republican after creating controversy over a college yearbook photo that showed Northam wearing blackface.
