The Federal Reserve is embracing social justice.
Speaking at an LGBT finance industry event, Fed Bank of New York President John Williams said that the central bank is not doing enough to boost employment levels for people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer/questioning, asexual, pansexual, non-binary, and whatever else is in the acronym.
He told the crowd:
“As President of a Federal Reserve Bank, I am focused on two vital economic goals: maximum employment and stable prices for the U.S. economy. These statistics paint a clear picture of why conferences like this one are so important: We are not where we need to be.”
The LGBT unemployment rate is estimated to be between 7.5 percent and 16 percent, depending on which source you use.

Lies, Damned Lies and Statistics – I am sure these stats are wrong, because many LGBT that I know do not even disclose their sexual preference in the workplace, so they are employed. The problem with to many Americans is we have all had it too good, try living in a foreign country and see how bad they have it.
